Meet Dr. Alaina Spiegel
Alaina Spiegel, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with an expertise in developing and facilitating workshops to support the mental health and well-being of individuals and communities.
Dr. Spiegel received her doctorate in clinical psychology from La Salle University. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at University of Pennsylvania, specializing in outreach and prevention. For the last 9 years, Dr. Spiegel has provided psychotherapy for students and led mental health initiatives in the community. Dr. Spiegel is currently the embedded psychologist at University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine.
Dr. Spiegel’s love for facilitation and community is captured by her work with Penn’s i care training, a gatekeeper training that helps thousands of faculty, staff, and students learn the skills and resources to support others in stress, distress, and crisis. Dr. Spiegel facilitates, evaluates, and develops all aspects of the training. She has co-authored two publications about the training in the Journal of College Student Psychotherapy.
